By the power of grayscale! (A success story)

You may recognize me from a post I made about a week ago, when I was looking for a dumbphone to replace my Pixel 7. I wasn't having much luck with my search, but I did run across a Youtube video where they mentioned switching their screen's colors to grayscale as a means to limit the distraction it represented. Feeling a bit desperate, I tried it myself last night. The effect was immediate . My brain was expecting a dopamine hit from the phone that it wasn't getting. What's more, the following morning, instead of spending 20 minutes mindlessly browsing Youtube, I only spent a couple minutes browsing the news headlines and was then able to get downstairs and start my tea brewing before 7 am. That is, as the Insane Clown Posse would put it, "a MF miracle". I guess the lesson here is: don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good. With a simple change in my phone's color settings, I was able to accomplish about 90% of what I set out to do. And I learned how to do that thanks to r/dumbphones . Thank you for your help :)
