Avid subtitle user here. I was wondering why subtitles aren’t ever put on the empty letterbox? I usually always want my subtitles on but I also want to see my movie frame in full. Sometimes it can get really disruptive especially for films that utilize a wider aspect ration and are dialogue heavy. Is there a genuine reason why this isn’t done / attempted? Would love if this was possible
